Day 1 • Arrive Beijing
Upon Arrival, you are greeted and helped transfer to check into the hotel.

Day 2 • Beijing
Today's sightseeing visits the imposing Tian An Men Square and the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace with a cruise on placid Lake Kunming (weather permitting).

Day 3 • Beijing
Walk along the ancient ramparts of the renowned Great Wall today. Visit a cloisonné factory and observe the skilled artisans create intricate designs. Then stroll along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.

Day 4 • Beijing to Xian
This morning fly to Xian where you check into the Grand New World Hotel. Then out to visit the ancient City Wall and the Big Goose Pagoda.

Day 5 • Xian
View the famed life-sized terracotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years; Circle Vision Movie; Bronze Chariot. Then on to visit the famed Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum. This evening you're our guest at the Tang Dynasty Theatre's fabulous dinner and show.

Day 6 • Xian to Lhasa
Fly to Lhasa, mountainous capital of Tibet where you will be greeted and transferred to the Lhasa Hotel to check in. The rest of the day is free to adjust to the altitude of one of the world’s highest plateaus–about 12,000 ft. above sea level.

Day 7• Lhasa
Today’s sightseeing visits Norbulinka (Precious Stone Garden), built on the orders of the 7th Dalai Lama in the 18th century. Then tour Drepung Monastery, tiered against a mountain in traditional Tibetan style, once home to more than 10,000 Lamas.

Day 8• Lhasa
Today View Potala Palace, former living quarters of the Dalai Lama, its massive 1,000 room structure towers over this mountain city. Then visit the famous Barkhor Market where you may shop for Tibetan items. See one of Tibet's holiest shrines, revered 7th century Jokhang Temple, where pilgrims come to worship before the statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha, lavishly enthroned in gold. This evening, enjoy a memorable Tibetan dinner and show where you will be welcomed with a traditional Yak Dance.*

Day 9• Lhasa to Shanghai
This morning, bid farewell to Tibet as you fly to Shanghai. Check into hotel.

Day 10 • Shanghai
Today’s tour shows the Shanghai Museum's collection of cultural artifacts, emporiums of Nanjing or Huai Hai Road, Jade Buddha Temple and the famed Bund.

Day 11 • Shanghai to Zhujiajiao/Shanghai
Depart Shanghai this morning for the picturesque water town of Zhujiajiao, known for its winding canals, arched bridges and Ming and Qing architecture. A highlight of your tour includes a traditional sampan ride on the canals. Return to Shanghai in the afternoon.
